Another thing I want to invent

I couldn't remember this one when I did that last post, but I want a device that gets you proper water samples without getting your arm in the pool up to your elbows. A proper water sample needs to be taken about 18" below the surface, because chemical balance at the top is different from the rest of the pool. So, after you rinse them in the pool you're testing, you put in the test tubes upside down, up to 18" down, then turn them right side up at that level and bring them back up. I'd like a device that is somewhat cane-shaped, but with a very elongated long side. So you stick the long side in the pool, and there's a marker on it that lets you know you're 18" from the surface. Then you do something (that's the part that needs to be worked on) that makes the water come up through the tube. You let it run for a bit, to rinse it out, then put your test tube under the stream. No more rolling up your sleeves, no more laying on the floor if there's a gutter, no more getting the knee area of your pants wet kneeling on the deck, and for some of us no more back pain. You like it?
